Equation of the week:
8x + 4 = 76
What is x?
Answer: x=9
Why does x=9?
Well its actually quite simple, using the property of equality you instantly know to subtract 4 from 76. 76-4=72. The next step is to divide 72 by 8. 72/8 is none other than 9 which gives you your value for x.
